"i'm bored"?
07.01.2016 by lilypad

Whenever someone asks my how i am, i seem to say this as an automatic response.

is anyone else just bored?

I'm very literal

I despise this question as it's a "trite" question. The person is just making conversation and doesn't really care how YOU are personally. But, just to make a point about how "trite" the question is, I make up something and go on and on and on, to the point where they are bewildered. They never ask again.....

I'm OK

That's been my response most of my life, but most people seem to think I should give them another answer; they say, "Just OK?". Lately I've started answering, "I'm good.", and that seems to make most people happy.

If you get bored a lot, maybe you should pick up a hobby; e.g., learn a new language (like Python). If you're bored no matter what you do, then maybe you need to make a radical change in your life; e.g., change jobs, change work-out routines, etc.

how about "i'm keen"

with a smile. keen means 'sharp' which could have a lot of meanings, so they'll probably wander off to try to figure it out :)
